The Unveiling Ceremony for Daal Band’s First Album
Musicema — Daal Band, currently preparing to perform at Fusion Music Week, will release its first official album, Passing Through Ordibehesht, after two years of work.
Shayan Shekarabi, Daal’s composer and pianist, spoke to Musicema about the band’s debut album:
“Released by Javan Records, Walk of Ordibehesht is the result of two years of meticulous and dedicated work by every member of the band. Our aim was to create an independent work worthy of the standards and tastes of today’s audience.
Throughout the creation and production of the album, we sought to avoid repetition and embrace variety while preserving its internal coherence in both form and content. This unified perspective—rooted in hope and a passion for life—is clearly present throughout the lyrics. The album’s graphic design and visual identity, as well as the choice of the title Walk of Ordibehesht, were also shaped by the same creative vision.
The album was mixed and mastered using a distinctive analogue, reel-to-reel process, resulting in a warmer and more relaxed sound. We hope it will appeal to discerning music listeners.”
Daal Band consists of Amin Hedayati on vocals, Ghazal Mahdavi as lyricist, Milad Saadi and Yazdan Bahmani on percussion, and Shayan Shekarabi on piano.
The album also features Arash Sarani-Azar on balaban and duduk, Mehrdad Alami on cello, and Arian Keshishi on bass guitar.
The unveiling and signing ceremony for Passing Through Ordibehesht will take place on Friday, 24 Ordibehesht, from 3:00 to 5:30 p.m. at Ebn-e Sina Book City, located on Iran Zamin Street in Shahrak-e Gharb, Tehran.
